The replica is cast from the original 1880's terracotta ceiling panel located in the Schiller Theater, Chicago, IL
The Schiller Building, designed by Adler & Sullivan, was built in Chicago in 1889 and was the firm’s tallest structure
Paul Rudolph obtained the panel as a gift, when retiring as Dean of the the Yale School of Architecture
Panel was subsequently displayed in his Beekman Place apartment in New York City
The Sullivan Panel is now installed in the Modulightor Building on East 58th Street, New York
